Martin Whitmarsh has confirmed that Jenson Button will drive for McLaren next year.
The 31-year-old, who is in the second year of his current contract, was rumoured to be attracting interest from rivals Ferrari.
McLaren boss Whitmarsh has since calmed speculation by revealing that the British driver will stay put.
"I can guarantee you that he will be with us next year,” Whitmarsh told BBC Sport.
"We both want to work together for a long period of time. It's a non-issue."
It is believed that the driver's representatives are currently in negotiations with the British team to extend his contract.
Button will be taking part in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on Sunday.
