Mark Webber has signed a one-year contract extension with Red Bull.

The 35-year-old Australian’s future had been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks but he has now committed himself to Red Bull until the end of the 2012 season.

"I want to continue racing at the top in F1 so it's a no-brainer to remain at Red Bull for another year,” said Webber.

"My motivation to achieve the best results possible for both myself and the team is still very high."

Webber joined Red Bull in 2007 from Williams.
