Red Bull team principal Christian Herner plays down the disappointment of their performance in the Australian Grand Prix.

Red Bull team principal Christian Herner has insisted that he has no concerns about their form despite a disappointing showing in the Australian Grand Prix.

Sebastian Vettel entered the opening Formula 1 race of the season as the clear favourite, but he finished third behind Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso.

"Nobody in the team is leaving here despondent or disheartened by the race," Herner told Autosport.

"We have had a very, very solid weekend, but found ourselves a bit out of the window with the tyre in the race. We have got a quick car."

Vettel is the defending Formula 1 champion.
