Red Bull Racing chief Christian Horner has insisted that Ferrari's Fernando Alonso will not continue his consistent scoring throughout the entirety of the Formula 1 season.
Alonso, who extended his lead in the Drivers' Championship by winning the European Grand Prix in Valencia on Sunday, has secured points in every one of the eight races thus far.
However, Horner is convinced that the Spaniard will slip up and give his Red Bull drivers the chance to pull themselves back into the title picture.
"Fernando has done a tremendous job, scoring in every single race, but statistics say he has to have one bad weekend in 20," he said.
"It will hopefully balance itself out over the course of the season."
Alonso leads the standings by 20 points from Red Bull's Mark Webber.
