Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg: Joining Ferrari a "no-brainer"

Sauber driver Nico Hulkenberg says that if he was offered the chance to join Ferrari, it would be an easy decision to say yes.

Sauber driver Nico Hulkenberg has said that if he was offered the chance to join Ferrari, it would be an easy decision to say yes.

The German, who converted his surprise third-place qualifying spot into fifth position in today's Italian Grand Prix, is one of several names being linked to replace Felipe Massa at the famous Italian team next season.

"It's definitely something I wouldn't deny which I'm definitely interested in, it's a no-brainer," Hulkenberg said about the possibility of joining Ferrari to BBC Sport. "I don't know if it will happen. Time will tell."

Brazilian Massa is not definitely out of the picture when it comes to partnering Fernando Alonso next year and said after the race that contract talks between him and the team are taking place.

Sebastian Vettel won the race at Monza to stretch his championship advantage over Alonso to 55 points.
