Arsenal are reportedly prepared to step up their efforts to sign Sporting Lisbon youngster Geovany Quenda.
The 17-year-old has been a shining light for the Primeira Liga outfit this term, blossoming on the first-team scene under the tutelage of Ruben Amorim at the beginning of the campaign.
Quenda has made 19 appearances in the top flight for Sporting Lisbon, scoring once and providing two assists from a host of positions on the right flank.
Manchester United have been linked with the teenager in recent times, with Amorim looking to successfully implement his 3-4-3 formation at the Theatre of Dreams.
Quenda is set to be in action once again on Wednesday night, when Sporting Lisbon host Champions League newcomers Bologna on the final day of the League Phase.

Arsenal step up efforts to sign Sporting wonderkid Quenda?
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the race for the services of Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Quenda is set to intensify before the end of the winter window.
The report states that Arsenal are one of the horses in the race for the 17-year-old, with the Gunners stepping up their efforts to secure the talent.
With a £70m release clause in Quenda's current deal at Sporting Lisbon, it is unclear whether Mikel Arteta's men are willing to trigger that particular stipulation.
As well as the title-chasing Gunners, it is believed that Man United remain interested, meaning that a reunion for the winger and Amorim is still on the cards.
There is also supposedly fondness of Quenda elsewhere on the continent, with European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich keeping tabs on the youngster.

Where would Quenda play at Arsenal?
With Arteta preferring plenty of height in his backline, it is likely that Quenda would operate in advanced areas for Arsenal if he secured a move to the Emirates.
At just 17 years of age, the Portuguese star would be an investment for the future, while also possessing the ability to make a difference straight away.
While Bukayo Saka is set to remain as the first-choice option on the right flank for many years to come, Quenda would provide a quality secondary option in that position.
