Dr Helmut Marko has vowed that Red Bull will fiercely resist any move for Susie Wolff to become FIA president.
Recent speculation has hinted that Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who briefly launched a conflict-of-interest probe into Susie and Toto Wolff's current positions, might face a rival in this year's FIA elections.
1996 world champion Damon Hill responded by calling Susie Wolff, the current head of the all-female F1 Academy series, a "perfect" replacement for the embattled Ben Sulayem.
Her husband, Mercedes team principal and co-owner Toto Wolff, offered a lukewarm rebuttal.
"Not that I know of," he said when asked if Susie plans to run for FIA president.
"Susie is an entrepreneur with heart. She built the F1 Academy up to speed in a very short time and isn't interested in working for the FIA.
"Someone started this rumour to create a stir," Toto added.
Yet Kronen Zeitung newspaper also quoted Toto Wolff as saying of his wife's potential FIA presidency: "Perhaps later in her career, when she's older and has achieved everything she wants to."
Red Bull adviser Marko, however, was blunt about the prospect of an FIA president wed to a direct rival. "Impossible," the 81-year-old stated flatly.
