Tom Lewis has taken a setback in the second round of The Open despite storming to a five-under par 65 on Thursday.
The English amateur carded a four-over par 74 at the end of Friday’s round but remains three shots off the lead on one under par.
The 20-year-old kicked off his second round campaign with two bogeys on the front nine and further dropped shots on the twelfth despite his impressive start on Thursday, which left the Englishman in joint lead with Thomas Bjorn.
Northern Ireland’s Darren Clarke currently tops the leader board with a four-under par 68.
