Paula Creamer wants Augusta to host women's Masters

US Solheim Cup player Paula Creamer calls on Augusta National to host a women's Masters tournament after the men's event.

Former Women's US Open champion Paula Creamer has called for a women's Masters tournament at Augusta National.

At present, the only tournament Augusta hosts is the men's Masters in April, which was won by Jordan Spieth earlier this month.

The Georgia club accepted its first female members in 2012, but chairman Billy Payne has suggested in the past that another tournament would not happen.

"I think the patrons and everybody would love to have two weeks there, two tournaments. Why wouldn't you?" world number 27 Creamer said, BBC Sport reports.

If a women's Masters did happen, there would be six Majors in the women's game - the Women's US Open, Women's PGA Championship, Women's British Open, ANA Inspiration and the Evian Championship being the others.
