Paul Lawrie has taken a one-shot lead ahead of the final round of the Qatar Masters in Doha.
The Scot shot a second round of 67 to finish on eight-under-par, one shot clear of Belgium's Nicholas Colsaerts.
The tournament was reduced to 54 holes after strong winds allowed only three hours of play on Friday.
Lawrie's round included a penalty stroke for dropping his ball on his marker, an offence he committed for the second week running.
"I'd never done it in my life - in 20 years on Tour - but last week in Abu Dhabi I was lucky because my caddie saw it and said the marker never moved," the 1999 Open winner told Sky Sports News.
"This time I wasn't sure and [senior referee] Andy McFee said I had to be 100% sure.
"I wasn't watching so you've got to take the penalty and kick on."
Overnight leader John Daly shot a second-round 73 to slip down the leaderboard and is four shots off the pace on four-under.
