Northern Ireland pro Rory McIlroy believes that he is beginning to mirror Tiger Woods's style of play following his victory in Honk Kong.
The 22-year-old, who clinched the Hong Kong Open yesterday, believes that he is learning how to win tournaments despite not playing his best golf.
"This week there's been glimpses of really, really good golf," ESPN quotes McIlroy as saying. "On Friday and Saturday, I really did struggle.
"To be able to win golf tournaments when you're not playing your best is what the likes of Tiger did week in, week out whenever he was winning seven, eight, nine tournaments a year, and that's something if you want to be a great player, you're going to have to be able to do that. I feel as if I'm learning to do that, and you know, this is a great win."
The US Open champion can overtake Luke Donald in the European money lists if he wins next week's Dubai World Championship with the Brit finishing 10th or below.
