World number one Rory McIlroy has insisted that he wants to finish the season as winner of the DP World Tour Championship, despite already clinching the Race to Dubai.
The Northern Irishman, who won the British Open and PGA Championship this season, cannot be surpassed at the top of the European rankings following Brook Koepka's victory in the Turkish Airlines Open last weekend.
"I'm very proud of how I played throughout the season, some very consistent play," McIlroy told reporters.
"[I'm] very happy, but at the same time it would be nice to pick up two trophies on Sunday and not just one, so I'm very motivated to go out this week and perform well."
McIlroy's triumph in the Race to Dubai is the second in three years.
