Tiger Woods has claimed that he will be competing in the Masters next month, despite suffering an Achilles injury.
The former world number one was forced to withdraw from the WGC-Cadillac Championship at the weekend after damaging his left Achilles tendon.
The injury blow raised concern that the 36-year-old may not be fit in time for the first major tournament of the season. However, Woods has ensured that he will be fighting for the green jacket.
"I'll be there. Don't worry about it," Woods said on US TV show Good Morning America. "I took a few days off. I'll start hitting balls tomorrow. The stiffness is gone. Hopefully, I'll be ready next week."
Woods has four Masters wins to his name, taking his last victory in 2005.
