Tiger Woods missed the cut at a major for only the third time in his career after the second round of the US PGA in Atlanta.
The 14-time major winner ended on 10-over par to cap a disastrous two days at the tournament.
Graeme McDowell, Martin Kaymer, Ernie Els and Open winner Darren Clarke also missed the cut.
American pair Jason Dufner and Keegan Bradley lead the field on five-under, while Britain's Lee Westwood finished one-under.
Rory McIlroy was a doubt for the second round after damaging his wrist on day one, but came out wearing supportive strapping and posted a three-over 73.
"It was probably tougher mentally more than anything else, trying to get it out of your mind," said the 2011 US Open winner.
Steve Stricker, who began the day on top of the leaderboard after a record-equalling first round, hit a 74 to end up three-under.
