South Korea's Byeong-hung An fires an impressive seven-under final round of 65 to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth by six shots.

South Korea's Byeong-hung An shot a seven-under-par final round of 65 to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth by six shots this afternoon.

It is the 23-year-old's first victory on the European Tour six years after he won the US Amateur tournament.

He started the final day level with Francesco Molinari at the top of the leaderboard, but the Italian struggled as his playing partner thrived under the pressure.

An didn't drop a single shot on the final day, going five-under on the back nine with three birdies and an eagle at the par-five 12th.

His final score of 21-under is a new record for the European Tour's flagship event on the West Course at Wentworth.

Molinari (-12) fell to fifth place, while second place was shared on 15-under by Miguel Angel Jimenez (67) and Thongchai Jaidee (69).

England's Chris Wood was fourth place after a final round of 66 that included a hole-in-one on the 14th to win him a £150,000 BMW i8 car.
