Olympic hopeful Louis Smith could be out for a month after suffering a fractured finger.
The British gymnast was training in his Huntington gym on Tuesday when he stubbed his finger on the high bar and is now expected to face a spell out of action.
"I will probably be out for about four weeks, with recovery and getting back into it," Smith told Sky Sports.
"I could be annoyed but it won't get me anywhere and that will make things worse. I need to stay positive and I am confident I will be able to get back to where I need to be, it's only a little fracture."
Despite the injury Smith remains in a determined mood ahead of the summer's London games.
"I'm going to have to train a lot harder, a lot more running around to keep fit so that when I get back to doing gymnastics stuff it is not so much of a hill to climb," he added.
Smith won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in the men's pommel horse.
