Team GB gymnast Louis Smith has made the pommel horse final after he produced a fantastic display to finish first in his heat.
Smith won bronze in the same discipline in Beijing four years ago and admitted that that performance had heaped pressure on him to make the final in London.
Smith told BBC Sport: "It has been an emotional four years. There has been a lot of pressure to perform at this Olympics.
"I said 'Come on' to myself twice in my pommel horse routine. I have never done that before. It is hard to explain what I felt when I landed that routine."
Smith also helped Team GB reached their first men's team final since 1924.
