Canadian women beat Switzerland 5-0 in ice hockey opener

The Canadian women's ice hockey team beat Switzerland 5-0 in their Winter Olympics opener.

Olympic gold medal holders Canada beat Switzerland 5-0 in their opening ice hockey game of the Winter Olympics 2014.

Canada led 2-0 after the opening period after goals from Jocelyne Larocque and Tara Watchorn, and scored three more in the second period to put the game beyond the reach of Switzerland.

The Canadian women's ice hockey team have won gold at the last three Winter Olympics.
