England aim to avenge Commonwealth Games defeat to Jamaica

England netball head coach Anna Mayes insists that her players will try to "make it tough" for Jamaica in their upcoming three-Test series.

England netball team coach Anna Mayes is hopeful that they can avenge their Commonwealth Games defeat to Jamaica when they compete in an upcoming three-Test series.

England lost to the Sunshine Girls in the bronze-medal match in the summer last year, and Mayes is expecting a tight contest between the two sides in Kingston.

"We are really looking forward to the series against the Sunshine Girls," The Gleaner quotes Mayes as saying. "It is always a hotly contested rivalry between us. We need to right some wrongs coming from the Commonwealth Games, so we are going to make it tough for the Jamaicans."

The first Test will be played on January 10, with the second and third being held on January 11 and 13 respectively.
