Ajax defender Kenny Tete is facing prosecution after being arrested for an incident at a coffee shop in Amsterdam earlier this month.
It is understood that the 20-year-old became involved in an altercation at the public place on December 5 and he spent the night in jail after police were forced to intervene.
Ajax have revealed that they will not take any action against the right-back, but he is due to appear in court on January 27 to answer the charge.
"We spoke to Kenny and have dealt with it internally. While we are not certain what exactly happened, Ajax will take no action," read a statement from the Dutch club.
Tete, who was born in Amsterdam, has been with Ajax since 2005, progressing through the youth set-up before making his first-team debut in 2013.
