Celtic fan gets European dates wrong, flies to Norway one week early

One Celtic supporter arrived in Norway for his side's Europa League showdown with Molde one week early due to an embarrassing fixture mix-up.

A Europa League fixture mix-up saw one Celtic fan fly to Norway a week before his side's meeting with Molde.

The Hoops head to Scandinavia next Thursday for their latest Group A outing in Europe's secondary competition.

However, a Celtic supporter known only as 'Liam' thought that each fixture was played on a fortnightly basis, so set off for his travels earlier this week.

It was only after a text discussion with a friend that the red-faced fan realised his error, giving him plenty of time to sample the local culture before the match on October 22.
