Police investigate 'missile attack' on Chelsea

Police launch an investigation into coin-throwing from fans at Chelsea players during their victory over West Ham.

Police have launched an investigation into missile throwing during Chelsea's victory over West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

Blues captain John Terry is thought to have been hit by a coin and had a hot dog targeted at him during the celebrations of Frank Lampard's 200th goal for Chelsea during the 2-1 win.

The former England defender is thought to have hit back at the supporters by mimicking lifting a number of trophies while warming up on the touchline, according to the Daily Mail.

Metropolitan Police are looking into the incident following an official complaint.
