Steven Gerrard has revealed that he has selected former Liverpool teammate Fernando Torres in his fantasy football team for the new Premier League season.
The two players had played alongside each other at Anfield until Spanish frontman Torres made a £50m switch to Chelsea in January 2011.
Despite Torres's departure, Liverpool skipper Gerrard had no hesitation in including the frontman in his team.
"I've settled on my front line, I've gone for Suarez and Torres. I've copied off Harry Redknapp," he told the Fantasy Football Club.
"I like the sound of that to be honest. I've left myself out though, I don't want to put too much pressure on myself."
Torres failed to find the net as Chelsea defeated Wigan Athletic 2-0 during the opening weekend of the campaign.
