Man shot in car park after New England Patriots beat Dallas Cowboys

A man is hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the car park of the AT&T Stadium following Dallas Cowboys' defeat to New England Patriots in the NFL.

A man has been left in critical condition after being shot in the car park of the AT&T Stadium following Dallas Cowboys' NFL game against New England Patriots on Sunday.

Arlington Police spokesman Christopher Cook has confirmed that a man in his early 40s was flown by helicopter to a Fort Worth hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Ninety minutes after the Cowboys suffered a 30-6 defeat to the Patriots, police were called to investigate an incident after hearing a gunshot during the tailgate party.

The person alleged to have pulled the trigger was also taken to hospital after getting injured following a fall while attempting to flee, according to AP.

The police have confirmed that the suspect will be jailed on charges of assault with a deadly weapon once they are released from hospital.
