Peyton Manning writes to family of crash victim

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning writes to the family of a fan who died in a car crash earlier this year.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has sent a letter of condolence to the family of a teenage fan who died in a car crash.

Fifteen-year-old Logan Brown, who became a fan of Manning during his time with the Indianapolis Colts, was killed in a head-on collision with a drunk driver in March.

Brown's grandmother Gayle Ricketts told WFIE-TV: "As a grandmother, I felt like I should let Peyton know this young man idolised him and what he meant in his life.

"[Manning's response] blew me away. I called Charles (Logan's father) when the letter came. I didn't even open it. I called Charles to come over. I said the Broncos answered me."

Brown, who would have been 16 on the day that Manning's letter arrived, had been hoping to attend a Broncos game to see Manning in action.
