The Football Association could reportedly reopen its investigation into claims of racism by England Women manager Mark Sampson after receiving fresh evidence.

The 34-year-old has been cleared of wrongdoing by two separate inquiries - one internal, one independent - after Eni Aluko alleged that in 2015, Sampson asked her mixed-race teammate Drew Spence how many times she had been arrested.

Both enquiries failed to interview Spence, however, and according to The Guardian, the player herself has now submitted written evidence to corroborate Aluko's version of events.

Spence is also said to have had "a private meeting with senior FA officials to give her version of events", during which she expressed her surprise that she had not been interviewed as part of the inquiry.

In a separate allegation, Aluko claimed that on one occasion, Sampson had warned her not to invite her Nigerian relatives to a game in case they brought the Ebola virus with them. Aluko later received an £80,000 settlement with a confidentiality clause attached.

Sampson has consistently denied all allegations.
