Everton striker Victor Anichebe surprised ill children with Easter eggs at Whiston Hospital this week.
The 24-year-old, who visited three separate children's wards with members of Everton in the Community, believes that it is important for players to give back.
"It's a great feeling to see how happy they are," Anichebe told Everton TV.
"It can go a really long way [spending time with kids], one or two of them are going home today and hopefully I've put a smile on their face. I saw one or two of them crying, but hopefully they can go home happy for Easter."
Meanwhile, Everton's rivals Liverpool sent their academy starlets to Alder Hey Hospital to celebrate Easter with the sick children.
