Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has taken to Twitter to make fun of West Bromwich Albion's Peter Odemwingie.
The Nigerian striker travelled to Loftus Road this evening in the belief that he was about to join Queens Park Rangers from the Baggies.
However, the two clubs failed to reach an agreement over a fee, which in turn left 31-year-old Odemwingie stranded and he will now return to the Black Country.
Writing on Twitter soon after, former Manchester United player Gibson shared his own version of Carly Rae Jepsen's hit song 'Call Me Maybe' with lyrics to fit Odemwingie's situation.
"New song by Odemwingie "Sign Me Maybe"..."Hey, I just drove here. And this is crazy. I'm in your car park. So sign me maybe" hahaha class," the Irishman wrote.
Earlier this evening R's manager Harry Redknapp admitted that he felt sorry for Odemwingie.
