Everton agree club record sponsorship deal

Everton extend their shirt sponsorship contract with Thailand beverage company Chang in a deal worth in excess of £16m.

Everton have extended their shirt sponsorship contract with Chang in a deal worth in excess of £16m, the club has revealed.

It is the fourth time the Blues have renewed their contract with Thailand's largest beverage company, with this the most lucrative in the club's 136-year history.

The deal gets underway at the start of next season, and will run for three years until the end of the 2016-17 campaign, ensuring it remains as the longest-running shirt sponsorship in the Premier League.

Chief executive Robert Elstone, speaking on a trip to Thailand to finalise the agreement, said: "Everton has enjoyed a special relationship with Chang extending now for 10 years.

"In that period, we have grown to understand one another, delivered great work, helped achieve objectives and developed a truly great partnership and, indeed a friendship, based on mutual trust, respect and affection.

"We do not take our partnership and all that we have achieved lightly. Everton is very proud of our mutual success to date."

Everton are currently sixth in the Premier League table.
