Google posts Commonwealth Games Doodle

Scottish artist Ciaran Murphy designs a Doodle for Google to mark the start of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Google has changed the logo on its search engine to a Doodle depicting five different sports to mark the start of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The company commissioned Scottish artist Ciaran Murphy to draw the image, which features cycling, wrestling and badminton.

He told BBC Sport: "One morning, I found that I had an email from Google. It was just a few lines saying 'hi' and was I interested in doing their Commonwealth Games Doodle.

"They had come across my work on the website scottishillustrators.com and my portfolio was one of about 30 different portfolios they had looked at."

The opening ceremony takes place at Celtic Park later today.
