The 25-year-old Uruguayan was driving in Turin at around 3.20am on Sunday, when his Porsche Cayenne collided with another vehicle.
A statement from the Serie A club read: "He arrived in hospital with a cut to the head, which was immediately stitched up, and one to the cheekbone. He did not sustain any fractures.
"Caceres will remain in hospital today and should be discharged tomorrow. At the moment the full extent of the injuries is unknown, but in the next hours Caceres will undergo further medical examinations."
