Former NBA star Lamar Odom has reportedly been given a helping hand from reality TV star Rob Kardashian, who is said to be prepared to offer his kidney to the stricken sportsman.

Odom, who has not played in the NBA since 2013, has tested positive for cocaine after he was found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas a fortnight ago.

Odom, who is receiving treatment at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, is said to be suffering with kidney problems and his brother-in-law Kardashian has offered up one of his if a transplant is needed, according to the Daily Mail.

It is not yet known whether Kardashian is a match, but the 28-year-old is reportedly willing to undergo medical tests to find out.

Meanwhile, Odom, who won two NBA Championships with Los Angeles Lakers, and his wife Khloe Kardashian have put their divorce on hold.
