Anderson's Instagram account 'hacked' when Manchester City pic posted

Manchester United midfielder Anderson insists that his Instagram account was hacked after a post appeared to reveal that he would sign for Manchester City.

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has insisted that his Instagram account was hacked after a post emerged claiming that he had agreed to sign for local rivals Manchester City.

The Brazilian's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain following a loan stint at Fiorentina last season.

On Anderson's social media account, an image of City's club crest emerged with the message: "I am pleased to announce that next season I will be playing for Manchester City #bluemoons."

The post was deleted swiftly and replaced with the message: "My Instagram was hacked."

Anderson joined United from Porto in 2007.
