BT Sport are reportedly eager to sign up Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand for their football coverage next season.
The 34-year-old, who comes to the end of his playing contract at the Red Devils in the summer, is believed to be on top of the list for BT Sport, who have secured the right to broadcast 38 Premier League games for the next three seasons.
It is understood that the broadcaster is eager to offer Ferdinand a contract if he decides to retire at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports have claimed that the centre-back has been offered a number of TV punditry roles.
