Prince William was spotted reportedly wearing a pair of football boots once owned by Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney during yesterday's match at Buckingham Palace.
The Duke of Cambridge marked the first football match to be played at the Palace by introducing England's oldest amateur clubs Civil Service FC and Polytechnic FC to the royal grounds.
Before the match, William was spotted wearing a pair of Nike T90s with 'WR 10' stitched into the side, which Rooney wore last season before handing them over to the Prince, according to the Daily Mail.
Yesterday's match was part of the Football Association's 150th anniversary celebrations.
