The online service, which has 50 million users worldwide, is believed to be keen on growing its brand in the mainstream market.
According to the Daily Mail, discussions over a £12m deal have taken place, and if an agreement is struck, the Tinder logo could be added to United's shirt.
Chevrolet remain the Red Devils' main shirt sponsor, but now companies are vying for the advertising space on the left sleeve of Premier League kits.
Tinder, which provides an app for people to 'swipe right' for potential dates, already has a deal with Serie A giants Napoli.
