FIFA president Sepp Blatter has expressed his sadness following the death of American actor and comedian Robin Williams.
The 63-year-old was found dead at his home in San Francisco, California on Monday as a result of an apparent suicide by asphyxiation, according to the local coroner's office.
Williams, who has been in a wide range of films including Good Will Hunting, Mrs Doubtfire and Good Morning, Vietnam, met Blatter at the 1994 World Cup draw in Las Vegas.
The 78-year-old referred to this meeting on Twitter by posting a photo and the message: "Very sad news about Robin Williams. Great memories of him and Faye Dunaway at World Cup draw in '93. We'll miss you."
