BT Sport have issued an apology after an obscene gesture made by David Ginola was caught on camera.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger reacted badly to a comment made by presenter Jake Humphrey, who said that Ginola "clearly wasn't expecting to be seen full length" as the 46-year-old was wearing jeans and white trainers.

In a statement, BT Sport tweeted: "We would like to apologise for any offence that was caused during this morning's broadcast.

"David Ginola apologised straight afterwards as he realised this was an inappropriate action."

Ginola also played for Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton during his time in England.
