Tom Daley reveals that he is considering quitting plans of going to university in favour of a career in TV presenting.

Olympic diver Tom Daley has revealed that he is considering putting his academic plans on hold to embark on a career in TV presenting.

The 18-year-old has been handed a mentoring role on ITV diving reality show Splash! but has insisted that he now wants to take a more prominent role in front of the camera.

"I don't know about university any more," Daley told the Daily Star. "I want to go into TV and if I am getting TV opportunities now I'd rather have work experience and do that kind of stuff than wait and say no for the next four years because of university.

"I'd like to present Saturday night TV, that is what I'd ultimately like to do once I've finished diving."

Daley clinched a bronze medal in the Olympic Games at London 2012.
