Former Premier League referee Jeff Winter has reportedly been questioned by police over an online rant, which is believed to have included jibes against the Pope.
The 57-year-old, who is a Rangers fan, is thought to have offered to speak to Strathclyde Police in Glasgow following a raid on his home after he posted a blog, which included claims of child abuse.
"He got in touch with police voluntarily after he got back," a source said, according to the Scottish Sun. "He has now travelled to Glasgow for the interview.
"He would have spoken to cops at any time, yet they left it the best part of a year. It's all a bit of a mess."
Winter is believed to have written the blog after Rangers were beaten by Celtic in last season's Old Firm derby.
