Argentina football legend Diego Maradona has accused his ex-wife Claudia Villafane of stealing $9m (£6m) from his bank accounts.
The 54-year-old, who won the World Cup in 1986, was married to Villafane from 1998 to 2003 after the pair met when they were youngsters.
While appearing on a live TV show on Canal America, Maradona threatened to get the police involved after exposing his former partner as an alleged "thief".
"If she did what we fear she did, unfortunately she will have to go to jail," he said.
Maradona is currently engaged to Rocio Oliva, who is around 30 years his junior.
Villafane denies any wrongdoing.
