One Direction star Niall Horan has revealed that world number one golfer Rory McIlroy will join the band on stage for a one-off appearance this summer after he caddied for the Irishman at The Masters.
The four-time Major winner invited the singer to join him on the Augusta National course for the Par-3 Contest last Wednesday.
Horan, who embarrassingly slipped over during an interview on the course, has revealed that McIlroy will sing with the boyband at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on September 12 during their tour.
"That was part of the deal," Horan told the Golf Channel. "If I went on the bag with him, he would come on stage and sing with us. He said if he's allowed to pick the song, then he's going to do it."
When asked whether he has heard McIlroy sing, Horan said: "No, but apparently he's terrible."
The golfer is due to compete at the Deutsche Bank Championship around the time of the show.
