Oscar Pistorius has reportedly been taken to hospital in South Africa after suffering a suspected heart attack.
The six-time Paralympic champion is currently one year into a six-year prison term for the murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day in 2013.
According to local reports, the 30-year-old was taken from Atteridgeville Prison to Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria at 8am this morning having complained of severe chest pains.
A prison spokesman told The Citizen: "We can state that offender Oscar Pistorius was taken to an outside hospital facility this morning for a medical examination, and is expected back in the facility later today."
Last year Pistorius denied reports that he had attempted to commit suicide in jail after he was rushed to hospital for injuries to his wrists.
Pistorius has repeatedly denied that he killed Steenkamp deliberately and has claimed that he mistook her for an intruder when he shot her four times in his bathroom.
