Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius has reportedly been accused of getting involved in an fracas while in a nightclub with his cousin.
The 27-year-old is currently on trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, whom he shot dead through a bathroom door at his home in Pretoria, South Africa on Valentine's Day last year.
The trial has been adjourned until August 7 while the closing arguments from both legal teams are being prepared.
According to celebrity news website Juice, Jahed Mortimer has accused Pistorius of acting 'aggressively' towards him and boasting about his family connections while in a VIP area of a nightclub.
Mr Mortimer, who is believed to be friends with Mark Batchelor, who has a long-running feud with Pistorius, has reportedly claimed that he pushed the double amputee after the athlete poked him in the chest.
Pistorius's spokeswoman Anneliese Burgess is quoted as saying: "We can confirm that Oscar was at a nightclub with one of his cousins. They sat in a quiet area of the private VIP section when they were approached by the individual you have identified as Mr Mortimer.
"The individual in question, according to our client, started to aggressively engage him on matters relating to the trial. An argument ensued during which our client asked to be left alone.
"Oscar left soon thereafter with his cousin. Our client regrets the decision to go into a public place and thereby inviting unwelcome attention."
According to The Mirror, one of the club's managers Perry Mermigas has told the newspaper that Pistorius and his cousin were seated in the VIP area on Saturday night, but denies that an altercation took place.
Pistorius denies murdering his girlfriend by claiming that he mistook the South African model for an intruder when he fired the shots.
