Referee Jon Moss 'facing legal action for injuring assistant'

Premier League referee Jon Moss is reportedly facing legal action after injuring an assistant referee during an officials kickabout.

Premier League referee Jon Moss has reportedly been threatened with legal action after injuring an assistant referee during a kickabout last year.

John Flynn, who has previously run the line during the FA Cup final, has been out injured for 15 months after being tackled by Moss during a session at St George's Park.

According to the Daily Mail, Flynn has been seeking advice from lawyers, having failed to secure an appointment for a fixture so far this season.

The Professional Game Match Officials board, who investigated the incident at the time, insists that Flynn is yet to pass a fitness test.
