Seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher has reportedly contracted a lung infection as doctors try to bring him out of an induced coma.
The 45-year-old has been treated in the University Hospital in Grenoble since he hit his head on a rock while skiing off-piste in the French Alps on December 29.
According to Bild, while the state of the sportsman's health is unknown, it is understood that Schumacher is suffering from a lung infection.
However, the newspaper has received a comment from the German's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm, who said: "We are not commenting on speculation."
Schumacher has undergone two operations on his brain since being admitted to hospital.
