Queens Park Rangers' plan to build a new £30m training ground has reportedly been blocked by West London residents.

The Championship outfit were granted permission by Ealing council to build a complex on the Warren Farm Sports site, but it has been challenged by residents claiming that it is illegal.

"The council is basically giving away to a commercial organisation a valuable piece of public land that should be open to everybody," the London Evening Standard quotes the Hanwell Community Forum as saying.

The 60-acre site is part of the protected Metropolitan Open Land.
