Roma's Francesco Totti sends letter to fan who suffered injuries in car crash

Roma star Franceso Totti sends a letter and signed captain's armband to a fan who suffered serious injuries in a car accident.

Roma star Francesco Totti reportedly sent a letter to a fan offering his support after learning that he had been involved in a serious car accident.

The supporter, who suffered the accident while in Sweden, also received a signed captain's armband from Totti with the letter.

According to The Telegraph, Totti wrote: "Hi Alexander, How are you? I hope this finds you well. I heard about your accident and I'm very sorry about it but I'm sure everything will work out just fine.

"Sometimes life puts obstacles in our way but this is when we find out our true strength, the one we even ignore having. I'm sure it will be the same for you.

"This is when we find out the importance of our dear ones, when we can rely on these moments. Try to recover as quick as possible and keep on supporting us, because we need you behind us. I look forward to seeing you at the Olimpico Stadium."

The 38-year-old has been a Roma player since his youth career back in 1989.
