Sheffield Wednesday have banned a 77-year-old supporter for using 'foul language' during a recent Championship clash against Burnley.

The club received complaints from spectators in the directors' box regarding Bernard Wilson's foul-mouthed rants during his side's 2-0 defeat to Burnley earlier this month.

"I'm not a yob," The Sun quotes Wilson as saying. "I'm a passionate supporter who likes to see my team win, so I shout."

Wilson, who has been a season-ticket holder for 53 years, will be allowed to attend matches again from next season.
