Report: Erik Pieters fined two weeks' wages for breaking curfew

A report claims that Erik Pieters has been docked two weeks' wages, amounting to around £70,000, for breaking a club curfew last weekend.

Premier League strugglers Stoke City have fined left-back Erik Pieters two weeks' wages for breaking a club curfew, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is alleged to have visited a Manchester nightclub the night before the Potters' 2-1 loss to Everton last weekend.

Sky Sports News claims that Pieters, who was dropped from the squad after pictures emerged of his antics, will lose around £70,000 in wages.

Stoke's players are said to have been warned that they cannot attend any social event at which alcohol is served within 48 hours of a game.

Pieters has made 175 appearances for City, 25 of which have come in the 2017-18 campaign.
